Digga initially supplied earthmoving wearparts to the local machine operators. A need quickly arose for the repairs and supply of drilling augers and a small factory was established in Tingalpa soon after. The company moved into manufacturing in 1982 and the range of products grew steadily as the company focused on its customers needs. With a desire to produce high quality, low priced products, Digga strived to improve manufacturing processes and introduced computerized machining and robotic welding in 1989. With the outstanding growth the company was achieving advanced steel cutting equipment was introduced a few years later.
In 1997 Digga started exporting overseas to New Zealand and Europe and in late 1999 to the USA. Proudly flying the Aussie flag, Digga is 100% Australian owned and operated and boasts the ability to manufacture up to 95% of its product in house. With the release of a revolutionary new productivity/safety device in 2002, SCS (swing control system), Digga plans to expand manufacturing operations even further in the coming years. Today Digga employs over 115 full time staff, and is active in securing futher export business following its success so far in the USA, Europe and New Zealand.
Digga produces a worldclass planetary drive gearbox. With only 5 years of Gearbox production in place, Digga has become Australia's largest manufacturer of Planetary gearboxes. Also included in Diggas range of attachments are a full range of trenchers, augers, brooms, aluminium ramps, pallet forks and one man boring machines.
